Questions:
Discussion will focus on the following 4 questions:
- What are the barriers to academics more effectively engaging with civil society organisations in relation to climate change? How might these be overcome?
- What institutional changes might be needed within universities to encourage more effective links between academics, scientists and civil society organisations working on climate change?
- Is the relationship between scientists/academics and civil society one-way?
- How can public involvement in climate change science and research be ‘upstreamed’ to achieve a greater emphasis on collaborative co-production of knowledge?
